General Information

Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills.

For more information on what we teach and why, please see our paper "Best Practices for Scientific Computing".

Who: The course is aimed at graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and other researchers across campus who are interested in learning how to work with data stored in database using SQL. You don't need to have coding experience or any previous knowledge of databases or SQL to attend this workshop.

Where: EHSEB 1730. Get directions with OpenStreetMap or Google Maps.

When: December 1 2023. Add to your Google Calendar.

Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop on which they can access the internet via a web browser.
